Designing and manufacturing next-generation locomotive control systems, driver interfaces, and railway management solutions for Indian Railways.
Explore Our SystemsLocomotive Control System
DPWCS enables wireless synchronous control of multiple electric locomotives distributed across the length of a long-haul freight train. A single crew in the Master locomotive commands all Slave units via UHF radio, enabling heavy haul operations with trains up to 3.5 km in length on Indian Railways.
Human-Machine Interface
The DDU is a man-machine interface for Indian Railways' 3-phase electric locomotives (WAP5, WAP7, WAG9 & WAG9H). Featuring a 10.4" LED-backlit XGA LCD with pre-defined diagnostic screens, it communicates with locomotive control systems through MVB, providing real-time monitoring of all critical process variables.
Operations & Management
ORMS is a comprehensive digital platform for railway operations management. Featuring real-time fleet tracking, predictive maintenance scheduling, resource allocation, and performance analytics — it streamlines end-to-end railway operations for improved throughput, safety, and operational efficiency.
Core Systems
The heart of DPWCS — a redundant 32-bit processor with 2GB solid-state memory, MVB and RS-485 interfaces, handling all command routing between Master and Slave locomotives.
10.4" capacitive touchscreen terminal with keypad redundancy. Receives and displays real-time information from CCU, and transmits driver inputs for locomotive control.
Interfaces with Faiveley E70 or Knorr Bremse braking systems. Manages synchronized brake commands between Master and Slave locomotives for safe distributed power operation.
UHF transceiver operating in 400-470 MHz band with 4-state FSK modulation at 21.68 kbit/s. Features diversity reception and up to 10W transmit power for reliable data links.
Railway-grade power supply operating from 70-136V DC input with 1500V isolation. Provides regulated outputs for digital and analog circuits with redundant architecture.
Integrated GPS for neutral section negotiation, train length calculation, and automatic pantograph lowering at restricted locations. Provides positional awareness for safe operation.
Our Mission
At LME, we design and manufacture advanced electronic systems that power India's railway network. From distributed power control systems that enable 3.5 km long freight trains, to intelligent driver displays aboard every 3-phase electric locomotive — our technology moves the nation forward. Every system we build meets the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance demanded by Indian Railways and RDSO.
